School Council

The school council at Ditton are elected by their peers. We have one representative from each class, across the whole school. Any pupil who wants to become a school councillor has to explain to their class why they would be the best person to represent them and their views. The children then vote for who they would like to represent them.  The head boy, head girl, deputy head boy and deputy head girl are chosen by the whole school once they have made a speech during an assembly as to why they would be best to represent the school, on behalf of the pupils.

The school council meets on a regular basis and discusses the suggestions brought from each class. Actions are discussed and agreed. At the moment the school council are working on a 'keep our school tidy' campaign.

The school council is made up of: Head Boy, Head Girl,  Deputy Head Boy, Deputy Head Girl and one child elected from each class.
